Strange Upload Problem

Hello,

I'm using FastCGI with an upload script. I'm getting random "pipe broken: write
failed" errors and and can't seem to pin point what the issue is. At one point, it
seemed as if it was my antivirus. I would shut it down and no more problems.
But then the same issue even with antivirus disabled. I get the error using
PHP and Perl scripts. Neither have a chance to execute, so I know it is not
the script failing, for sure. Also, when the error occurs, it seems to occur about
5 seconds after I start uploading via upload form. First it logs "pipe broken"
followed by "write failed" about 10-15 seconds later.

Does anyone know how I can debug this to figure out what is causing
random "pipe broken/write failed" error? I'm using external FCGI server
running on local (freebsd 6.2) machine, connecting to it using a Unix socket.
Using Apache 1.3.x

Thank you for any input you may provide. This has been puzzling me for
weeks, now.

-Simon
