Multiple fast-cgi applications

I am trying using FastCgiExternalServer but I got the follwing error:

[Sun May 27 10:16:22 2007] [error] [client 127.0.0.1] FastCGI: comm with
server "/var/www/cgi-bin/nds.fcgi" aborted: protocol error: invalid
version: 60 != FCGI_VERSION(1)

Does someone know what this error means?
