Back when I was still using fastcgi we worked out that you could fork a child off an FCGI and
as long as we reconnected to the DBI it work... we weren't using the Apache stuff, however, so YMMV.

The processes take a long time to start up so when I develop a new process (or a process that uses a different dataset) that I want to start on the same machine, I don't want to restart apache and have to restart all the other processes. Is there a way to have Apache just start the new process (specified in a new FastCgiServer directive)?
