Oops, my mistake - sorry about that.  

I've committed a fix and created a new snap: 

  http://fastcgi.com/dist/mod_fastcgi-SNAP-0711121805.tar.gz

Please let me know if the change addresses the problem.  If so, I'll roll
2.4.6.
