Hi,
I've run into a problem with fnord and ucspi-ssl. Dunno if this is a known
bug or whatever - I haven't found it mentioned anywhere.
The problem seems to be that ucspi-ssl communicates with fnord via pipes,
which is apparently not handled well by sendfile. strace reports that
sendfile fails with EINVAL.
What puzzled me first was that it seemed to work most of the time, except
for very few files - which is of course explained by the fact that sendfile
is only used for files exceeding a certain size.
Anyway, I commented out the #define USE_SENDFILE in httpd.c and now everything
seems to be working. If this is not fixed somehow it should at least be
mentioned in the fnord docs.
Bye,
Peter
Btw, my environment is SuSE-9.1 with kernel 2.6.9. The problem occurs with
glibc-3.3.3 as well as with dietlibc.
