Huge thank you for doing this, man! I've tried doing the import on several occasions, and always hit a snag (i.e. typical example here: https://twitter.com/#!/asz/status/70703886016589824). You're apparently smarter than me with getting git2svn to work. As for pushing to master: sure thing, but if you're working on a larger thing, it makes sense to work locally on single-feature branches (branches are cheap), then when you're done with it, merge it into your local master, maybe even by squashing (so we needn't see all your trial-and-error commits, if you had them), and then finally push such a sanitized master to GitHub.
