That's great news! Thanks for that. I guess that means that there is basically some kind of support for FreeMarker (even if it's in its green beginnings in all of the "big three", which I would think are Eclipse, IntelliJ and Netbeans. > > > (Velocity support is coming "later.") There is the famous expression in American politics, a congressional district, say, that is "yaller dog" democrat. IOW, if a yellow dog was presented as the candidate for the democratic party, it would win election by a landslide in that area. Though actually, I seem to vaguely recall cases where a candidate died shortly before an election and it was too late to take his name off the ballot and he won. Being unable to defeat a dead opponent would surely not make the other candidate feel good. Our "competition" with Velocity has basically been like that for years. In other matters, Randall, I saw you had posted something on the ANTLR-interest list recently. It was as a result of googling stuff about how to do lexical states with ANTLR. I've been taking a run (another one) at ANTLR recently and... OMG... I'm on the verge of giving up, man, it's terrible. So difficult... Did you ever figure out how do simulate lexical states? Supposedly you use semantic predicates, which according to TP, is much more powerful than lexical states, but I can't get it to work. Did you ever figure it out?
