Are you saying you've identified another concurrent performance hotspot in FreeMarker code? If so, I'd like to hear details. > I'm wondering > what the timetable for tagging this as 2.3.13 ? We don't tend to have fixed schedules... There's a good bunch of changes since 2.3.12, for now these are (copied from preliminary documentation update): Bug fixed: [1725107] JspTaglibs with servlet spec 2.4 causes parser warnings. Bug fixed: [1851842] OutOfMemoryError parsing a largish text chunk. Feature: [1892546] Allow for custom template loader in FreemarkerServlet. Bug fixed: [1902012] IteratorModel eats exception causes. [1898300], [1818742], [1780882]: Reworked template caching mechanism for radically improved concurrent performance, with help from Azul Systems engineers. (Achieved 20x speedup with Struts2 webapps on a 128- CPU Azul device compared to 2.3.12.) It looks to me as if it enough to warrant a release - what do others committers think? (Although I expect only Daniel will be interested in a 2.3.x release).
