?round ?floor and ?ceiling are in 2.4 head and in 2.3 branch as r708. You could pull 2.3.13 from r707 if you want to ship 2.3.13 without it, but it works for me (see below). Test Cases: Test cases are in 2.4 head and 2.3 branch, including new testcases for the existing cast operations as well. The tests pass ;-) Implementations: The 2.3 implementation is JDK 1.4 source. The 2.4 implementation is JDK 1.5 source. For the 2.5 implementation, we might want to migrate the math to the Arithmetic engine; I noted this in the SVN revision comment, but it's not important right now. The builtin refactoring (or un-refactoring, as JR pointed out) is NOT in either 2.3 or 2.4. Documentation: Documentation is only in the 2.3 branch. I couldn't find the documentation for the 2.4 but maybe I overlooked it. docgen is there, but there is no content. If there's anything I've overlooked or overdone, please let me know. Thank you all for giving me the opportunity to help. I hope it's useful to you; it is to me. This issue is admittedly a language corner case, and while I'd like to address it for sake of determinism, it is by no means urgent. There will always be One Last Thing to put in before the release and then it gets delayed and delayed... Better to release more frequently, I say; 2.3.12 will be three months old by tomorrow. Attila.
