It just takes some time for the good folks that volunteer to maintain
the repository to process the request.

BTW Maven now recommend setting up a project repository and sync'ing
it to the central one automatically, rather than requesting a manual
upload at each release.  If the FreeMarker developers are interested
in setting up such repository, I can help with that.
