Well, it's not a big deal, I think. Sure, we'd gain another built-time  
dependency (scala compiler), but on the other hand, the generated  
bytecode is just Java bytecode. Granted, it will need Scala runtime in  
classpath to run, but that's probably already present if someone wants  
to wrap Scala objects, right :-) ?

So, I don't see much problem with that.
