Freemarker list with multiple lines

Hello,
I am currently doing this :

<table>
  <#list blah as b>
    <tr>
      <td>...</td>
      <td>...</td>
    </tr>
  </#list>
</table>

But I'd like to do this, however it doesn't work :

<table>
  <#list blah as b>
    <tr>
      <td>...</td>
      <td>...</td>
    </tr>
    <tr>
    </tr>
  </#list>
</table>

Why can't I have 2 (or more) table rows for each element of the list ?
