Note that you can put it into i18n.ftl like:
<#assign messageFormat = "com.foo.baar.MyMethod"?new()>

Note that TempalteMethodModelEx gets the arguments without being
converted to string. (This TempalteMethodModel interface is a legacy
thing...)
