Yeah, well... NodeModel.parse is pretty much useless in its half-done
state. Consider it like it's not there. I myself never missed it,
because whenever I wanted to expose XML I happened to have it already
in W3C DOM format. Throwing the comments and PI-s away is still useful
however (see Node.removeComments and removePIs).
