Actually I'm trying to develop a tool to generate the multiple languages templates automatically.

Of cos for dynamic content I hv to use data model. But for static stuff such as menus, I'm writing a class to generate .ftl files of different language versions.
I guess in this way I can kill the performance tradeoff.
