I have been trying to compile RH 7.3 rpms for a while. To this end I have compiled a g202 backup install using glibc2.2.5 and gcc-2.96 When I try to start mozilla I get The program '<unknown>' received an X Window System error. This probably reflects a bug in the program. The error was 'BadLength (poly request too large or internal Xlib length erro'. (Details: serial 375 error_code 16 request_code 152 minor_code 20) (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously; that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it. To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.) When I start the same binary from the "wrong" gnome install (ie head ) it works I am officially stumped - any help appreciated -- Linux, Gnome what more do you need http://www.redtux.demon.co.uk ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: ApacheCon, November 18-21 in Las Vegas (supported by COMDEX), the only Apache event to be fully supported by the ASF. http://www.apachecon.com
