It's too fast, for one, and makes both gestures and context menus too hard to use generally. I think we need to maintain the gestures code (and I'll be willing to do that myself if nobody else would). My opinion: * Get rid of the delay for the context menu. Just wait for the mouse-up. * Leave gestures as a hidden pref, defaulted to no. This means the default behavior doesn't hurt anyone, and context menus popup on mouse down like they should. My reasoning for this is that gestures will always be a little bit of a crack feature: they're very, very useful once you get used to them, but they do break things for those not expecting that behavior. Mozilla, for instance, needs the optimoz add-on for gestures (I think). Anyone who cares enough can go tweak gconf and enable gestures.
