If you fake your user agent, people won't see it much in their logs, and will be less inclined to fix their bad habits with respect to ua detection. So it's really better to get webmasters to fix crappy detection code like that one (hint: it's better to test the browser-specific function you'll need instead of sniffing the useragent string iirc).
