Well, I think the feature may be necessary, the feature being the
ability to paste a new URL to the location entry by using only the
mouse.  But there are a few ways to implement that feature.  I wouldn't
want to see one implementation in galeon, a different one in nautilus,
and yet another one in somewhere else.  Before jumping to conclusions
I'd like to see if there could be a solution that would be more general
than just for galeon.

Though, if you're going to edit the URL, you need the keyboard anyway,
so why not use it to clear the entry to start with?  Hmm, I think I'm
losing track here...

I'm not sure if pasting in the window is particularly natural either,
but it's reasonably close to pasting in general and quite convenient;
there's no need to aim at any particular (small) button or widget.  But
that's just what I'm used to ;)

That's the Persistent Data Manager (galeon1) or Personal Data Manager
(galeon2)  The thing that manages your cookies and passwords, which
sites are (not) allowed to set cookies or show images.
