Maintainership: was Re: Galeon 2 in the GNOME 2.2 Desktop

Well, I guess this is a good enough moment to try and get some movement
on clarifying the maintainership issue.

Right now, there's pretty much just four of us doing anything these
days: myself, Tommi, Yanko and Ricardo. The extent to which Marco wants
to remain involved is currently unclear, but I sincerely hope that this
sabbatical isn't a permanent one.

As for who takes up the reins now, I think it's more a question of who
is in a position to do so, more than who wants to. I know that I'm going
to have minimal time to get stuck in until the middle of december so
even if I end up holding the straw I won't be able to do anything
substantial until then. I do have clear objectives which I've
articulated before, and I'm hoping that Ricardo is still planning on
doing the middle/right click stuff for the toolbar once libbonoboui
is upgraded.

If one of the gang is willing to take up the mantle, I'll happily
support that decision, though I suspect that we all feel this way. :-)

Jeff, from your perspective, perhaps 2.2 is not practical. Worst case is
that maintainership will be muddy until the middle of next month, though
I hope it won't be that long; and I don't know how compatible my feature
restoration work will be with your freeze restrictions. I can assure you
that in the long term galeon will not be rudderless, so let me know what
you feel about this situation.

I'd very much like to hear how the rest of gang feel on this subject.
