I didn't know that galeon code was totally frozen and that the only way
to modify its behaviour was to modify gconf defaults...

This is a totally different problem, anyway galeon and gecko aren't
really accessible right now, so all of this will be solved later.

If all galeon developers behave like that, we won't get anywhere. If you
start adding prefs in the UI because you don't like the default
behaviour of something (while you agree at the same time that using this
default might be sensible), I don't know what galeon2 will look like in
the end, but I really don't want to see that... This autodropdown
behaviour can already be tweaked in gconf to fit your need, and this is
a one time setting, so I don't really see why you absolutely want this
pref... I read the part about the "second class user", but really,
hardly nobody will ever use this option, so apart from having a "philipl
is a l33t galeon developer who rocks so much that he added this option
only for his personal use" check box in the option dialog, I don't see
what advantages this will give to galeon.
