Compiling mozilla HEAD with gtk2

I just compiled the mozilla cvs daily tarball with the following
argument:

./configure --prefix=/usr/local --enable-default-toolkit=gtk2
--disable-debug

I did not patch it as it was indicated that mozilla cvs had the patch
merged per the instructions in the galeon-1.3.1 tarball.

It compiled and installed without incident.

However when I run it, it is using the gtk+ toolkit (I can tell since I
use quite different themes for gtk+ and gtk2.)

Any ideas what the problem could be? Has the configure option argument
changed? Or do I need to set some environment variable to let mozilla
know that my gnome2 is installed in /usr (I have a Red Hat 7.3 system
with ximian-gnome2 snaps.)

Any help is appreciated.

./out
