Galeon 1.2.8 about only purpose was to have a release from the stable branch that works with mozilla 1.3b, because that's what people would've come asking for anyway. IIRC there were no other changes to code than following a small API change in mozilla. The change has no effect on stability on galeon's side. If you prefer mozilla 1.2 you can either use 1.2.8 or just keep your older 1.2.7, there's no benefit from upgrading. However, if you *want* to use the possibly more unstable mozilla 1.3b and have a galeon to go with it, you *need* 1.2.8. As far as galeon-1.3.x goes, it's quite stable, just lacking features. Of course the stability depends also on the mozilla it's used with. I'm not sure, but I think the gtk2 support in mozilla hasn't been given the 'stable' stamp yet, but in practice it would appear to be pretty good currently. If you want to be on the safe side, you should probably wait until mozilla starts shipping gtk2 builds by default. -- Tommi Komulainen [email protected] GPG 1024D/68388EE6 6FD6 DD79 EB38 BF6F 3533 09C0 04A8 9871 6838 8EE6
