My personal opinion is that this should > not be done. I think that Mozilla 1.3 should be linked to GTK1.2 too. The release notes say it's for GTK1.2 and it is also the default toolkit for Mozilla at this time. In my opinion, using Galeon for a long time now, I should not be forced back to the still maturing browsers at this moment. That is, galeon2 (galeon-snapshot in Debian), ephiphany, phoenix, etc, since I would be loosing a lot of features. GTK1.2 is not very obsolete now GTK2 is here! I have recompiled Mozilla 1.3 for GTK1.2 and build Galeon 1.2.9 against it, for the people interested: deb http://people.spacelabs.nl/~paul browser-gtk1.2/ Note that the things said above are NOT Debian's opinion nor the ones of the maintainers of galeon or mozilla. It's my opinion and the packages are privately maintained.
