Why my Linux copy-n-paste doesnt work with Galeon (1.2.5)  for 
international HTML characters?

When I select a text (ex: from 
http://www.releituras.com/lfverissimo_lixo.asp)
and paste it to xemacs, I get all non-ASCII characters replaced with "?".

Any tip is very welcome,
