Just place the cursor on the location line and type Ctrl+u. In Galeon2, you need to activate Emacs keybindings first. Open the GNOME "Keyboard Shortcuts" config menu and in "Text editing shortcuts" select "Emacs". I don't use Galeon2 (I'm too stuck on Galeon1), so I'm not certain that this will work.
