another niggly 1.3 UI issue: tab close ordering

Hi,

I would imagine this question has been debated before but I couldn't find
it in the list archives. In any case, the UI has changed between galeon
1.2 and 1.3 with regard to what tab becomes active when the active tab is
closed. Previously (at least how I had it configured, if it was
configurable), the tab to the RIGHT of the current tab would become
active, if there was one, otherwise, the tab to the LEFT of the current
tab would become active. In galeon 1.3.x it seems that the tabs are
ordered by recent visitation and closing a tab returns focus to the next
most recently active tab.

I found the previous behavior quite useful and while the new behavior
seems sensible in theory, I have found it confusing in practice. I wonder
if, depending on whether anyone actually likes the new behavior, this can
be changed back or made configurable? Comments?

By the way, there is a discussion of this whole matter by a Safari
developer at

http://www.mozillazine.org/weblogs/hyatt/archives/2003_03.html#002603

who argues that the direction focus should move when tabs close is related
to the question of where newly created tabs are placed. This has also
changed since galeon 1.2 (or, at least, it was configurable there).
