It's leaking the string from GConf. Hmm, do we really want to maintain separate directories in memory? Wouldn't it be simpler to keep just one directory and whenever the file selector is needed, it would default to that directory? I'd think it would be least surprising. Also, state information shouldn't be saved in GConf, but that's our mistake, need to fix it some day.
