Well, I definitely agree that if it actually grabbed the last viewed tab 
instead of some popup that would be a big improvement, however, I still 
think it would be a good option to be able to have galeon open your home 
page when you open galeon instead of going to the last page even if you do 
want it to duplicate the last page on new tabs or windows.

I rarely want to see the place where my stream of consiousness ended last 
time I was browsing.  If I really do want to go back to the page I was 
viewing yesterday then I can bookmark the page or save the session or just 
look in my history.  When I open a new galeon, I want to see Slashdot.  I 
think there are lots of things wrong with not treating new galeons 
differently from new tabs/windows.  What do you do when someone has several 
tabs open at once and does ctrl-q?  If you want to treat new tabs/windows 
the same as new galeons, then what happens if someone has "show blank page" 
selected in their options?  Do you still not show their home page on a new 
galeon?  I'm not arguing that it should be one way or the other but that it 
should be an option (or it should be that new galeons open the home page).

In any case, if you are going to open a new window with the contents of the 
old window (either via ctrl-n, ctrl-t or a new galeon) then all the 
properties of that window should be preserved, especially the back/forward 
button history.  I know this works for new tabs and windows but it doesn't 
work when opening a new galeon.
