At the moment, when galeon is configured with maintainer mode enabled
(as is the default when running ./autogen.sh), these deprecated flags
are enabled. The breaks compilation with gtk 2.3, as you found out.

The solution is to run ./configure without the --enable-maintainer-mode
option, or manually edit the configure.in file, commenting out the line
that sets these flags (then re-run autogen.sh)

These solutions should fix both the g_value_* stuff and the complaints
about the OPTION_MENU and COLOR_PICKER.
