I just did something on accident that gave me a cool ui idea. I instinctively went to click on my "email" button in my toolbar. Well, there is no such button even though I do have an email web site that I always go to. Why should their just be one special shortcut button to a particular site? Why shouldn't I have a button for "home", "news", "email", "search", etc? Having a separate configuration for each of these ala home page would be a pain but having a generic way of adding custom toolbar buttons with a dropdown of standard types (like email or home) that had appropriate icons and popup hints would be clean and easy and very cool. The bookmarks bar doesn't really get you the same thing (if it did then why wouldn't home be banished to the bookmark bar also?). Anyway, just an idea. Galeon rocks.
