I'm not going to try to convince you again because I did too many times
already. I'll just say that you are looking things in a totally wrong perspective.
Me and other people that keep bringing up the importance of the HIG and
in general feel some of Seth ideas good, are not doing it to blindly follow
him or the HIG. It's just that we share a view of usability.
You have all the right to disagree with our view, but keeping to talk of
the "one true seth way, the hig tiranny" will not help in any way.
Every OS in this world has an HIG: it's not the only one true way, it's
just a tool to keep different applications consistent.
The results of not having such a guide are there, and anyone can see them.
Or you want to tell me that gnome1 apps and in general unix apps are really
so consistent and easy to use ? ;)
