Then you did something wrong.
I'm occasionally using pan with gtk2, and my father often does.
If i have a reason to use galeon2 instead of galeon1 then this is gtk2.
It's definitely faster here. One of the things i actually like about
gnome2 except for the looks ;)

I guess that galeon1 will die sooner or later. But galeon2 might fork.
Because anyone could do so, so if there are enough freaks wanting
additional features they can fork. In fact, marco also suggested that.
