That feature make sense ihmo. I just dont want to risk to make
tabs/windows code unmanteinable because of it. I prefer tabs working
well even without that functionality. This doesnt mean it should not be
implemented, it's just need some thinking to make it right.

It's there ... Please dont assume everything is no more  in g1 is by
design not there. G2 is a rewrite and some things have just not been
reimplemented. (lack of time, interest ...)

Another not reimplemented feature. I feel it pretty good also. (if
someone post a bug I may even get to it)
