Maybe teuf want to start from this ? :) I quickly looked at gedit code, and iirc it mostly does the same thing as my widget currently does. The only problem with the gedit approach is that it is not embedded in a widget, and that there is no tab drag n drop. I don't have much work left (ie a few hours) to finish both tab drag n drop between windows and tab detaching, but I'll have to find this time (currently my xwindow is borked, and I need to reinstall win2000, so I can't promise anything before next week end...)
