Marco, i understand now what you mean by DnD, but please consider also
the user who is going to browse full screen (or at least maximized).

In this case, dnd is not usable, so i guess a context menu would be
needed even if dnd works. Unless you can drag&drop to the little tabs in
the gnome window list.
