You want to make a very simple browser for users not really used to computers and your proposal seems quite ok for that, but while using galeon today, I realized there was a point that wasn't addressed yet for this goal (or that I missed). What will you do for all these mozilla dialogs which moreover are often untranslated ? ie, while browsing today, I got this "you are switching from a secured area to a non secured one", but the text was much longer and prolly not really understandable for "normal" users (especially if they don't speak english). This one is ok because they can click on ok and their "browsing experience" goes on without problems. But let's consider the certificate dialog where you can choose to accept it temporarily, reject it or accept it always. There is a very long text with this dialog, and the user has to make a choice. I'm quite sure some users will be frightened by this dialog, and won't know what to do because they will fear to break something. I don't say that a simple browser isn't achievable because of that, I just point out an important issue (imo) which will have to be solved if (or when) we decide to go that way Christophe Le mar 15/10/2002 à 11:40, [email protected] a écrit : > Ok so now I posted the abstract rationale. > These are the things I want to happen for 2.0 to match my vision more.
