The first obvious benefit is the fact that galeon can restore the state of your browser when (Heaven forbid!) it crashes. This is a brilliant browser feature and something other browsers should have. IMHO all we need to do to make it user-friendly is to avoid calling it "Restore previous session" etc. on the pop-up when re-starting. A more helpful dialog to non-technical users would explain what is actually happening! As for explicit sessions I have two uses: 1. As part of my job I have to keep up to date on various news items, so I have a session that opens a window with all the important news sites for my job. I can simply click on these and know I've got all the right sites open (Certainly quicker than opening them one by one). Now that someone mentions it I could of course just have a bookmark folder set up for this - I don't think there's any real difference useability wise. My only concern is that since I already have all of those sites bookmarked individually my "MyPortal" page would become cluttered having them again grouped as a session?) 2. "Status" saving. If I'm reading up on something and have several tabs open, it's sometimes useful just to save the session to come back to it later. Unfortunately since galeon2 seems to have lost "Exit with Session" (And I don't really want to Save this session - after all it's only temporary) I now end up doing a "killall galeon-bin" to save the session :( Hope that helps Lee -- | Lee Willis Unmetered & ADSL solutions | Products and Services Development Co-ordinator for Home & Business | PlusNet Technologies Ltd. @ http://www.plus.net +------------ My Referrals - It pays to recommend PlusNet -------------- ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by: Access Your PC Securely with GoToMyPC.
