Due to various problems of which Galeon is only one, I'm getting about
ready to wipe the whole OS off my backup/leapfrog machine, and install a
new one from scratch. It has FC1 now; the replacement will likely be FC2
or maybe FC3. If I change directories as root to my user account, and then
ot .galeon there, I get this :
=====
root@localhost .galeon]# ls
bookmarks.xbel favicons images sessions
bookmarks.xbel.0 favicons.keys mimeTypes.xml session_saved.xml
bookmarks.xbel.1 history.xml mozilla sidebars.xml
bookmarks.xbel.2 host_favicons.keys session_crashed.xml
[root@localhost .galeon]#
======
If I can get Galeon to run under the new OS (I can't under FC1 on my main
machine, due I think to dependency hell), I'll do that; if not, I'll want
at least the bookmarks to import into Opera and Firefox.
If I copy the bookmarks.xbel files above to a CD before wiping the drive,
will I be able to salvage the bookmarks, even if Galeon won't run on the
new OS? I.e., will they all be there, and in some form that Firefox and
Opera can import?
