User stylesheets? (.galeon/stylesheet/)

Crispin mentioned this in a respoonse to a post of mine some time back.

I'd like to create a stock list of several user-defined stylesheets.
Specifically, I'd *prefer* that several of these apply by default to
specific websites (more below), though others I'd like to be able to
apply as needed to fix bass ackwards site (mal)design.

I find a couple of references to .galeon/stylesheets/ but no information
on how to use this.  E.g.:

Examples of stylesheet mods & design fixes (both CSS and resulting
screenshots) at:

...ideally I'd either bind that CSS to any Slashdot page via Galeon or
with CSS directives.  WRT the latter, I've tried attribute selectors,
but don't seem to have a working syntax.
