None of your posts have indicated that you have any problems with
Mozilla interaction. So you could avoid C++ entirely if you wanted to
hack desired features into Galeon 1.3 -- the Mozilla work is already
done.

The C part of Galeon is lovely, understandable GTK+ code. The C++ part
is technically C++, but Mozilla's C++ would be better described as an
entirely independent language. A really, really confusing language.
