Well, first problem is - you have to have file of that type in
advance, which doesn't need to be true, when you are just about to
launch it from webpage. :) But I don't see it critical.
Much more problematic is that files on the web are sometimes served
under multiple mime types (for example M$ .doc), and through
Gnome/Nautilus mime system you are able to change bindings of only one
of mime "labels" - second one is inaccessible, not sure whether because
of only one associated with .doc extension, or simply being first. So
when webserver serves .doc under second .doc mimetype label, you are not
able to change its bindings - not through Gnome, and naturally not from
Galeon.
