First, a HUGE thanks to Crispin for pointing out where the per-user
files are stored, and also for reminding me that the "Open with other
application/Open foo and other files of type bar with:" dialog is
lying about the other files, BUT that the "Properties" menu works.

Yeah yeah yeah!!! I couldn't find this in the Gnome bugzilla, so I
just added it (I hope you don't mind; obviously I'm happy to give you
credit if you care). See Bug 167653.
