Ah, a promising hint to solve a problem that I've encountered many
times (namely, figuring out mime types). Unfortunately, on my (debian)
system, gnomevfs-info responds with

Error: Invalid URI whenever I type
 gnomevfs-info filename

I must be doing something silly, but I have no idea what, since
"man gnomevfs-info" returns empty-handed.

Thanks

Silvio
