convert bookmarks.xml

So, I upgraded for the first time in five years (I'm lazy), and now I can't migrate my old .xml bookmarks to the new .xbel format. The import option doesn't recognize them. I know the change happened a long time ago, but does anyone know at this point how I can get them converted?
