Can I use my existing mozilla bookmarks.html instead of galeon's bookmarks.xbel?

I use my mozilla bookmarks file from many different machines, and
would like to also use it from galeon. I do not want to periodically
import it into, and export it from, galeon; instead I'd like some way
to tell galeon "please use /home/me/foo/bar/bookmarks.html instead of
bookmarks.xbel". Mozilla and Firefox let you do this by setting a
user preference named "browser.bookmarks.file"; however, setting that
same preference in galeon appears to have no effect.

A hacker would consider being asked to write
        add x to y giving z
instead of
        z = x+y
as something between an insult to his intelligence and a sin against God.
