Gmane got me only a refusal message saying I wasn't subscribed -- and
didn't offer to take care of that, as it so often does, and succeeds at.

So I scrabbled and scrounged till I found a site to subscribe from -- it
was *very* deeply buried. For anything else, I'd've given up before I
found it.

Then I sent those posts as emails.

*Then*, apparently, someone or some machine thought better of the refusal,
and put them up anyway. Sorry about that; guess I shudda contained myself
