I doubt it. Firefox extensions usually heavily modify not only page
contents, but user interface itself. Interface in Firefox is created in XUL,
runtime XML based "language", which uses GTK only as one of the backends, to
look so-so like platform, where Firefox is run. Galeon interface is created in
GTK natively (that's even one of the purposes, why Galeon was created, I
think), with nothing even remotely similar to XUL.
To make these FF extensions work would need to implement XUL hooks into
Galeon interface, which I see as a heroic, or maybe (from various GTK
restrictions) unachievable. Or to implement whole Galeon from scratch in XUL,
instead of pure GTK, which is another heroic achievment, and probably miles
away from developers' ideas :) (just my guess, I'm in no way connected with
Galeon developers).
That said - you can make some of FF extensions work with Galeon, in general
these, which do not modify user interface, for example older FlashBlock, or
maybe these, whose main function is not sacrificed by their nonfunctional UI
parts. Someone asked for Google Suggest - from quick glance it seems to me as
XUL toolbar, which will most probably not work. But there's no other way to
tell, than to try (on test user account, for example).
And another two cents - maybe work on implementing some clean interface for
Galeon-breed extensions would make a sense. Epiphany is more clueless-user
aimed browser - my opinion is that Galeon with its more technically aimed user
base has bigger potential to grow extension community.
