going to the URL of a selected text

Hello, 
With Galeon, if I see a non-hyperlinked (non-html-coded) text in a webpage, 
for example http://www.google.com, I can select the text and right-click to 
get the pop-up menu. Then I select bookmarklets-->Go to Selected URL.

But this won't work for text like www.google.com <http://www.google.com>. It 
seems to need the complete url text, the "http://" part, too. Is there 
anyway to fix this?
