Hi folks I use galeon 1.3.21 under Fedora Core 3 and Xfce as window manager. I would like to open PDF files with xpdf and PS files with gv. Until an hour ago, here is the behavior i got when I clicked on a * pdf file: it gave me a blank page within Galeon. * ps file: it gave me a dialog box offering to open with "Postscript Viewer"; responding yes would cause a ggv window to open, with no document rendered. Then I followed instructions obtained in this list a few months ago (when I was running an earlier version of Galeon on an earlier version of Fedora -- back then this procedure did work). More specifically: I started Nautilus; right-clicked on PDF file; chose "Open With"; added xpdf to the options. Likewise for a PS file. Then I restarted Galeon. I now the the same behavior as described at the beginning of this message, plus the following error messages [this one repeated about 50 times at startup] (nautilus:5834): libgnomevfs-WARNING **: Deprecated function. User modifications to the MIME database are no longer supported. [this one printed when I click on a PDF or PS link] ** (galeon:6246): CRITICAL **: file gul-gui.c: line 694 (gul_gui_image_set_from_mime_type): assertion `icon_info != NULL' failed Thank you for your help.
